In 1953, one of my first songs was recorded by pretty Miss
Joyce Moore, for RCA Victor...
You Can't Kiss Me Too Soon
Here's the other side of the same record...
It was written by Ben Raleigh and Lou Singer,
and published by Dutches Music, BMI.
Once again, Miss Joyce Moore...

And now, here.s my lovely daughter, Kasha,
in nineteen eighty-one, with one of my songs
from the same year
My Mother wrote me years ago, that, a teen-age boy
drove by our house one night, stopped, shot out the
streetlight with a B B gun, then drove away...
I had written a poem about this, and finally put music
to it...In 1981, my son, then age ten, recorded it for me...

And now, here's a song I wrote about my daughter,
when she was about three years old...
Two And One To Carry
When I was eighteen months of age, my brother and I
were in rocking chairs, in front of a "presently hot"
fireplace...Suddenly, my chair tipped over backwards,
and I (so I was told) became hot-headed about the
situation...My brother, two years my senior,
Immediately ran outside to get my parents,
who were chopping wood...
This event, years later, would become an idea for a song...
